Perkins Newage silent runner single phase diesel generator set,
Perkins 4-236 engine,12 wire Newage alternator which is reconfigurable
to 415 v 3 phase, it`s very well specified as you would expect :- auto
shutdown on fault, GAC electronic engine governor, synchronising panel, 2
X 63 amp 1 X 32 amp and 2 X 16 amp sockets, 6 X MCBs, remote start
facility,175 litre base fuel tank with gauge, hand pumps for diesel
filling and oil draining, 4 X levelling jacks. Mounted on a substantial
fast tow chassis which has recently been fitted with new wheels, tyres,
indispension axles, brakes and a 50 mm tow hitch.
Bad bits :- 3 of the doors have some rust at the lower edge, the rear
socket cover box has damage and the tow hitch gaitor is split also a few
knocks and dints as you would expect.
In summary this is a low houred (3356) high specification set that
starts instantly and runs without smoke or any issues whatsoever, it
holds speed and frequency perfectly under load. It tows easily behind a
medium sized family car and all the brakes work as they should.
