You are looking at a truly amazing piece of Mechanical Music history right here. This is a breathtaking example of a antique cylinder music box, with a unusually ornate Burl-wood inlaid-ed case. This music box was made somewhere between 1860 - 1876, you can tell this because after 1877 almost all cylinder music boxes produced had switched to a silver metal, and stopped using brass, and from the types of hardware used in the workings of the movement. This music box has internal components almost completely made of solid polished brass
